We’re constantly looking to improve our homemade suet recipes and we’re happy to say we think we’ve found our very best Insect and Mealworm Suet Ball recipe yet!

 

We’ve been testing our new recipe and design on our farm, in all seasons to make sure our products are durable and weather proof. They don't disintegrate in the rain or freeze in the cold, making them the perfect suet product to use in your garden come rain or shine.

  

We only use human-grade beef suet in our mixes, along with quality flours and seeds to ensure our homemade suet products are packed with the most nutritious ingredients that wild birds can enjoy all year round. 

 

We add millet, linseed and oilseed rape to our mixes which are all very high in healthy oils and complex vitamins. These aid in the development of wild birds, providing them with essential nutrients to keep them energised, warm, and healthy.

 

Ground dried mealworms and insects are also added to this mix to give an extra punch of protein!

 

Our Insect and Mealworm Suet Balls are free from whole wheat grains - instead we use a blend of Wheat Flour and Peanut Flour. Using wheat flour (rather than whole grains) can help to deter unwanted garden birds, like Pigeons, who typically look for food with large grains to fill up on.

 

Birds that will love this treat include: Any birds that typically feed from a hanging bird feeder, such as Tits, Siskins, Goldcrests, and Woodpeckers. You can even crumble the balls up and put them on tables and the ground for Robins, Wrens, Blackbirds, Dunnocks (and more!).

 

Packaging: The wrapping on our 8-pack is recyclable. Our 50 and 150 ball options come loose in a cardboard box to reduce plastic, and our cardboard boxes are also made from recycled materials.

 

Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Beef Suet, Peanut Flour, Red Millet, White Millet, Linseed, Oilseed Rape, Dried Ground Insects and Mealworms and Food Colour.

 

Weights: Each ball is approximately 85g in weight. Please note suet ball products are measured by weight and all numbers of balls are approximate.

These products are shipped directly from the suppliers. Please allow up to 5 working days for these items to arrive. They will arrive separately from any other products ordered from Ivel Valley Bird Food.

Delivery to Scottish Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland are charged at varying costs. The cost for any non-standard delivery postcodes will be displayed on the checkout page once a postcode is entered. Delivery to these areas is a DPD 2-5 Working Day service. We do not ship to the Republic of Ireland.

 

We do not deliver over the weekend or outside of the UK.
