What are Peanut Granules?
These small peanut pieces have all the same nutritional benefits as whole peanuts, as well as the added advantage of being an easy bite for softbill species such as Robins, Goldcrests, Finches, and Tits. These Peanut Granules come without the 'skin' covering whole peanuts, so there is zero wastage and no mess left in the garden.
Are Peanut Granules good for birds?
Peanut granules are an excellent food source for birds as they are highly nutritious, rich in protein, and full of essential fat and natural oils. This makes peanuts granules a fantastic source of energy, especially during nesting season or winter when natural food source is harder to find.
Which birds eat Peanut Granules?
Thanks to its small size, Peanut Granules can be enjoyed by a wide variety of birds, especially the smaller species with soft beaks. You can expect to see Blackbirds, Blue Tits, Chaffinches, Collard Doves, Goldfinches, Great Tits, Greenfinches, House Sparrows, Nuthatches, Robins, Siskins, Song Thrushes and Starlings.
How do you feed Peanut Granules?
Peanut Granules won't be suitable to use with a peanut feeder but can be fed in any kind of seed feeder, on bird tables and even on the ground. This makes them a great bird feed for ground-feeding birds and seed feeders. As they're not seeds, you won't risk unwanted plants growing in the garden if you use the granules on the ground.
Please note: The peanut granules can be larger than the usual small size at certain times of the year. This is something that we, unfortunately, can not control.
Packaging: 2kg bags of seed are oxo-biodegradable and can be disposed of alongside normal recycled plastics. 12.55kg seed options come in a fully recyclable paper sack, and our cardboard boxes are also made from recycled materials.
