Affordable nest for swallows

Once the swallows have migrated to the UK in April to participate in the mating season, the first thing that will be on their mind is finding a suitable spot to nest. With this swallow nest set up and ready to use, you will have saved the trouble of finding nesting material and building. Made from woodstone and FSC® wood, this swallow nest cup is sturdy, strong, and can be easily secured.

Where to put a swallow box?

A swallow nest should be sited inside a porch or outbuilding, which allows easy access for the birds via an open door or window, such as a garage or outhouse. To ensure the swallows have enough room in the nest cup to arrive and depart, there should be at least 6 cm of free space above the nest cup. If you would like to put up multiple swallow nest cups, a minimum distance of 1m between cups is advised.
