What is Red Dari for birds?

The seed comes from a Red Dari plant which is a long grass grain grown in warmer climates and are mainly used as a filler in birdseed mixes. Red Dari goes by other names such as Milo or Sorghum and is a popular seed for fishermen to use as well.

Is Red Dari good for birds?

Red Dari seeds are packed with protein, healthy oils and carbohydrates wild birds can benefit from. The energy and fat supplied by Red Dari seeds can help them maintain a balanced diet all year round, even during the busiest periods e.g Nesting Season.

What birds eat Red Dari?

Red Dari is mostly preferred by larger species of birds with hearty appetites such as Pheasants, Poultry, Jays, Starlings, Wood Pigeon and other ground feeders.

How to feed Red Dari to birds

Since it's mostly the larger bird species that eat Red Dari, it would be best to offer this seed either in a ground feeder or on the ground itself if you are offering the seed on its own. If you are including your Red Dari into a bird mix, then a seed feeder will also be a great option to go for.

We do not ship to the Republic of Ireland.
